Bangladesh has reason to be proud of its rich ancient heritage. At once this was a rich and developed region. Many travelers express their impressions glorifying these places.
Paharpur ( Stupas)-where the remains of the most important and the largest known monastery, south of the Himalayas has been excavated. This 8th century A.D. archaeological find covers an area of 27 acres of land.Declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO
The excavated findings have also been preserved at the Varendra Research Museum at Rajshahi. Natore rajbari’s is countries finest palace with high walls boundary.
Mahasthangarh-is the oldest archaeological site and earliest City of Bangladesh during 3rd century B. C.
(Temples City) Puthia has old Hindu structures in Bangladesh among them- Shiva temple and Govinda temple is famous. There is also attractive King palace ( Rajbari )
Kantajee’s Temple is in the Dinajpur District near Shibgong. It was built by Maharaja Pran Nath in 1752. (Terracotta) Kantajee’s Temple is considered to be the Most spectacular terra cotta Monument of Bangladesh.
(Mosque city)Gaud is the border place with India. There are many ancient Mosques. Most of them were built during the rule of the Muslim Sultanate of the Ilyas Shahi period. Many of those Mosques bear rich example of Architechure. Among them:
Chota Sona Mosque, Darasbari Mosque, Kushumba , Rajbibi Mosque are famous.


Trip to Archaeological sites- North Bengal
( 2 Days / 1 Night )

Day 01: Depart from Dhaka after breakfast by a/c reserved car for Bogra. It will take 4 hours to arrive there. Upon arrival at Bogra lunch from high way restaurant and you will visit the ruins of Mahastanghar then to Paharpur to visit the Paharpur Buddhist monastery (8-12th century AD), the biggest single vihara, and south of the Himalayans. You will pass some time visiting the sites and having the lunch. Then drive to Rajshahi and on arrival check-in to a hotel/motel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02: Early morning, enjoy the sunrise from the ban of the river Padma (Ganges). After breakfast drive to the temple city of Putia to visit the Hindu Temples, the Govinda Temples, and the Shiva Temples and then visit the Barendra Museum. Start return back to Dhaka.Dinner from high way restaurant.Arrival Dhaka in the night.

Tour to North Bengal –Mosques, Temples & Stupas by Reserved Car

Day 1: Start from Dhaka in the morning by reserved a/c vehicle about to dinajpur on way stop to take picture of rural bangladesh.Lunch from highway restaurant.on arrival at Dinajpur check-in to hotel. Visit one of the most historic buildings in North Bengal the Hindu king palace (18th century, and the largest man-made pond of the country (Ramsagar).Overnight in Dinajpur hotel.

Day 2 : in the morning visit countries most beautiful monument (Kantajees Temple ) The most Terra cotta hindu temple in Bangladesh, is only 25 km away from Dinajpur.
drive to Paharpur to visit the most important archaeological site in Bangladesh ( 8th Century AD ) Somapui vihara is UNESCO declared World heritage site as the important largest Buddhist monastery south of the Himalayas.Lunch form local restaurant. Resume drive about to Bogra to visit the countries old city. Mahasthangarh (3rd Century BC) is only 14 km away from Bogra town. Now you find archaeology of Bangladesh with the good collection of recovered pieces in the Museum.Back to hotel for over night stay.

Day-03: in the morning visit Bogra town and taste the famous “ Bogura’r Mistee & Dhoi “ guide will take you to visit well-furnished Rajbari & Museum. Resume drive to Natore to visit the countries oldest Rajbaris ( Digapatia palace) surrounded by high boundary walls. Drive to visit “Temple’s city” at puthia where you can see decorated with old terra cotta designed Rajbari and one of the largest Shiva temple in Bangladesh. You can also visit Jagannath Temple. In the late afternoon start return drive back to Dhaka.
